Melasma Treatment (Picosure)

Melasma is a common form of skin hyperpigmentation, often appearing as symmetrical brown patches on the cheeks, forehead, nose, and chin. It most frequently affects women during their childbearing years and is triggered by a combination of sun exposure, hormonal changes, thyroid disorders, and genetics.

Because melasma is stubborn and sensitive, treatment requires a careful, multi-step approach. Topical agents like hydroquinone and medical-grade sunscreen are often combined with in-office procedures such as chemical peels and laser therapy. However, not all lasers or peels are safe for melasma—and the wrong treatment can worsen pigmentation.
